In the wake of the fourth wave of Covid-19 in Sri Lanka, Vidullanka PLC and Nilwala Balashakthi joined hands together to donate a much-needed Robotic Nurse Assistant to the Panadura Base Hospital. At a time when the country’s medical staff are committed to making the nation steady while risking their lives, this Robotic Assistant will provide the support needed to make the medical staff’s tasks much easier. This momentous occasion was held on the 08th of September at the Base Hospital.
The Robotic Assistant is capable of being operated from any remote distance. Any doctor or nurse can use the assistance of this robot to provide medicine and support to the patients undergoing treatment for Covid- 19. The innovative robot functions smoothly and its key critical feature would be its camera that allows doctors to monitor patients from a distance and to make conversation with the patients without endangering themselves and protecting themselves further.
Vidullanka PLC, a pioneer of the mini-hydro power industry in Sri Lanka, helped champion cleaner, greener, renewable energy by introducing Hydropower and other renewable energy forms. As a responsible corporate citizen, from 2020 under “Vidu Saviya-Lowata Aruthak” the company has been playing a pivotal role by innovating and contributing to the society with sanitization cubes, foot-operated wash basins and many more.
Sri Lanka is currently undergoing a time of peril with the raging pandemic, and in the interest of controlling it and to assist the silent heroes of our nation in the likes of the medical staff “Vidu Saviya-Lowata Aruthak” has thus been playing its part in being a socially responsible manner. In conclusion, this donation to Panadura Base hospital will play its own part of being complementary to already exemplary services provided by the “Pandemic Heroes” of our time. To the future, Vidullanka PLC will continue to serve and play its role to ensure the country falls back into track of which it was prior to all the hullabaloo of the pandemic.
