Sithum Kavinda joined Vidullanka PLC in 2021 as an Electrical Engineer. His exceptional technical skills and leadership enabled him to rapidly progress through various roles, holding positions as Senior Engineer-Projects and Assistant Manager – Engineering and Projects, before being appointed as the Manager – Engineering & Projects. He currently leads the Solar and Wind business verticals of the group.

With extensive expertise in Feasibility Analysis & Due Diligence, Project Development, Design & Engineering, Project Management & Execution, Financial Feasibility Assessment, Regulatory Compliance & Permitting, and Tendering & Procurement, Sithum has been instrumental in the successful execution of numerous solar and wind energy projects. He has played a key role in developing over 50 MW of renewable energy projects, both in Sri Lanka and internationally.

Sithum holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India. He also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical Installations from the University of Moratuwa. Additionally, he is an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and an Associate Engineer at the Engineering Council Sri Lanka (ECSL).
