Inspiring people to create a healthier and happier world
Recognizing children as invaluable assets to society and the future, the “Vidu Saviya – Daruwanta Diriyak” program emphasizes education for school children and aims to foster sustainable living practices in the long term.
The program’s objective is to motivate children to excel academically while offering essential support and encouragement.
This is carried out through the donation of essentials to both schools and students and the awarding of scholarships to 30 promising students from employee families and project localities. Vidullanka also collaborates with schools near its power plant localities to cultivate a stronger society for the future, providing training on sustainable living practices for teachers and students.
This initiative aims to enhance social welfare and infrastructure in the power plant areas, improving the livelihoods of local villagers uplifting their standard of living.
The goal is to implement infrastructure developments that involve all stakeholders associated with the organization, ensuring comprehensive coverage and meaningful impact.
The “Gamata Eliyak” program encompasses a broad spectrum of initiatives beyond those mentioned above, including donations to local communities, charitable institutions, and individuals with special needs.
The “Vidu Saviya – Lowata Aruthak” initiative marks our fourth endeavor dedicated to fostering innovation. Its primary aim is to encourage community participation in generating social innovations and fostering a sustainable future for both employees and local communities.

The primary objective of “Ratata Sevanak” is to conserve, protect, and enhance environmental biodiversity and ensure ecosystem sustainability.
This arm of the Vidu Saviya project is one of the largest initiatives carried out by Vidullanka PLC, with an ongoing project to plant 100,000 trees by 2025. The company is well over the half-way point with a total of 63,738 trees planted as of March 31 2024. Furthermore, in order to reach this milestone plant nurseries have been established at each domestic power plant, each capable of producing 5000 plants per annum.
