We are on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design, installation, and commissioning of large thermal systems (i.e. power plant).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the project manager with mechanical systems and equipment selection for biomass-based power generation, including boilers, turbines, and auxiliary systems.
- Support the project manager in the mechanical aspects of the project, from concept and design to commissioning.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the quality assurance of mechanical components.
- Conduct site inspections, overseas inspections, supervise installation, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and risk assessments whenever necessary.
- Work with contractors and troubleshoot, resolve any mechanical issues during the commissioning phase.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in power plant construction, biomass energy projects or boiler projects.
- Strong knowledge of thermal power generation processes and biomass fuel handling systems.
- Hands-on experience with boilers, steam turbines, heat exchangers, and other mechanical components used in thermal power plants.
- Proficiency in report writing, project management tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites around the country.
