Learn MoreVidullanka PLC operates a Plantations arm, Vidul Plantations (Pvt) Ltd, that sources, grows and supplies sustainably grown energy crops such as Gliricidia. Vidul Plantations (Pvt) Ltd is accredited with the SLS 1551: 2016 Certification for Sustainably Produced Fuel Wood Management System.
The company is also engaged in the CSR initiative of removing Kalapu Andara trees from the Bundala National Park, an invasive plant taking over the park and affecting the growth and sustenance of flora and fauna. While removing the Kalapu Andara plant and reusing it as fuelwood for Vidullanka’s biomass segment, the project mainly seeks to revive the biodiversity of the park by replanting new species of plants.
Vidul Plantation currently has 600 acres of sustainably grown fuelwood in its care, with xx trees.
