Dileepa Warnasinghe’s journey at Vidullanka PLC began in December 2015, when he joined the company as a mechanical engineer. Over the years he gradually progressed up the ranks of the personnel overseeing the company’s biomass plant, starting as Project Engineer. He eventually took on the roles of Head and Manager of the 3.3MW Biomass Plant once the plant was in operation. In September 2023, Dileepa was conferred the position of General Manager of Vidullanka’s Biomass subsidiary, managing over 70 employees and the operations of the Dehiattakandiya Dendro Power Plant.

Dileepa received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Peradeniya. He is a Chartered Engineer, a corporate member of the Institute of Engineers in Sri Lanka, and a member of the Sri Lanka Energy Manager’s Association. He is currently reading for his Master of Science in Energy for Circular Economy.
