Asanka Kumarasiri joined the cadre of Vidullanka PLC in December 2010 as a Manager of Pre-contracts for the company’s subsidiary Vidul Engineering Limited. Since then, Asanka has lent his expertise as a Civil and Irrigation Engineer to the company’s portfolio of projects, contributing to its steady growth and continuous expansion. In 2024, he was conferred the role of Senior Manager of Engineering and Projects for the company.

While his work largely involves highly technical skills in the hydraulic and structural designing of Vidullanka’s mini hydro power schemes, Asanka is also a part of the management and procurement of the company’s projects.

Asanka received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a post graduate diploma in structural engineering from the University of Moratuwa. He also read for his master’s in project management with the University of Sydney, Australia. Furthermore, Asanka is an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka and a Graduate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK.
