As part of our corporate social responsibility initiative to provide community support and be part of the global effort to combat the COVID -19 pandemic, ‘Vidullanka PLC’ donated 27 foot-operated water and hand washing units developed in-house to multiple authorities in Sri Lanka including hospitals, police stations and other government authorities . This initiative was also implemented by the Company’s Ugandan operation which donated two units to their local authorities as a sustainability measure. In addition, our Biomass team has donated 150 face shields to Dehiattakandiya Base Hospital , MOH Unit and Polonnaruwa General Hospital while dry food rations were handed over to 45 families in Dehiaththakandiya Area.
In a gesture of solidarity and in an effort to create a meaningful customer experience company donated a disinfection chamber, foot washing trays and hands free operated sinks to its prime customer the ‘Ceylon Electricity Board’.
